How to install and activate the Wholesale Suite plugins on multisite

Running Wholesale Suite on WordPress Multisite requires a Super Admin to install the plugins, manage licenses for the network, and apply updates. This guide shows you where to complete each task and how to fix an inaccessible Wholesale Payments license tab.

Requirements

• Super Admin access to the WordPress Multisite network
• The Wholesale Suite plugin ZIP files you want to install
• A Business-level license that supports WordPress Multisite
• WooCommerce Wholesale Payments version 1.0.7 or later if you use Wholesale Payments

Install Wholesale Suite plugins on the network

1. Open My Sites → Network Admin → Plugins.
2. Click Add New Plugin, then upload and install each Wholesale Suite plugin ZIP file.
3. Choose whether to activate each plugin across the network or only on the subsites that need its wholesale features.

Individual site administrators cannot install plugins for the network. The Super Admin completes the installation once, and the plugin files then become available to the subsites.

Activate licenses in Network Admin

1. In Network Admin, go to WWS License.
2. Select the tab for the Wholesale Suite plugin you want to license.
3. Enter the license key and activate it.
4. Repeat for each licensed plugin installed on the network.

License management is network-wide and requires a Super Admin. You do not need to activate the same license separately from each subsite after completing it in Network Admin.

Update plugins across the network

1. Go to My Sites → Network Admin → Plugins.
2. Apply the available update for each Wholesale Suite plugin.
3. Confirm the new version on the network and test the subsites where the plugin is active.

A network update replaces the shared plugin files for every subsite. Activation can still differ by subsite when the plugin is not network-activated.

Troubleshoot the Wholesale Payments license tab

The Wholesale Payments tab is blank, shows Page Not Found, or returns a permission error. Confirm that you are signed in as a Super Admin, then update WooCommerce Wholesale Payments to version 1.0.7 or later.

1. Open My Sites → Network Admin → Plugins and update WooCommerce Wholesale Payments.
2. Return to Network Admin → WWS License → Wholesale Payments.
3. Enter or verify the license key, then activate it from that tab.

Do not work around the problem by manually changing the license-page URL. Current versions register the Network Admin tab and its permissions correctly.

Frequently asked questions

Do plugins need to be installed by the Super Admin?
Yes. Only a Super Admin can install Wholesale Suite plugins for the Multisite network. After installation, the plugins can be activated network-wide or on selected subsites.

Does every subsite need a separate license activation?
No. Activate each plugin license from Network Admin → WWS License. The license is managed for the network rather than activated again from every subsite.

Why can a site administrator not open WWS License?
The network license page requires Super Admin permissions. Ask the network Super Admin to manage the license.
