How to disable the add to cart notification

After a customer adds a product to the cart, Wholesale Order Form displays a notification confirming the item was added. If your theme already shows an add-to-cart confirmation, the Wholesale Order Form notification can feel redundant. There are two ways to manage it: replace it with a smaller inline icon, or remove it entirely.

Requirements

Replace the notification with an inline icon

If your theme already shows an add-to-cart confirmation, enabling Simplify Add to Cart Notices replaces the pop-up notification with a smaller inline icon displayed next to the Add to Cart button – avoiding duplication.

  1. Go to Wholesale → Order Forms.
  2. Find your form and click Edit.
  3. Open the Settings tab.
  4. Enable the Simplify Add to Cart Notices toggle.

When enabled, the confirmation appears as an inline icon beside the Add to Cart button:

Remove the notification entirely

  1. In the order form editor, click the gear icon on the Add to Cart Button column.
  2. In the settings panel, open the Options panel.
  3. Untick Enable Add to Cart Notification.

Make sure Simplify Add to Cart Notices is enabled first. The Enable Add to Cart Notification toggle only appears when that setting is on. See the Replace the notification with an inline icon section above if you need to enable it.

Troubleshooting

The notification still appears after disabling

The Enable Add to Cart Notification toggle only becomes available once Simplify Add to Cart Notices is turned on in the form’s Settings tab. If you skipped that step, the notification will continue to show. Enable Simplify Add to Cart Notices first, save your form, then return to the Add to Cart Button column settings to untick the notification toggle. After saving, clear any caching plugins and test in a private browser window.

The inline icon does not show on my theme

The inline icon is injected next to the Add to Cart button by Wholesale Order Form’s JavaScript. Some themes or page builders override the button markup or suppress third-party scripts, which can prevent the icon from rendering. Try switching temporarily to a default WooCommerce-compatible theme (such as Storefront) to confirm the icon appears. If it does, a CSS or JavaScript conflict with your active theme is the likely cause — contact support with your theme name and version for further assistance.

Frequently asked questions

Do these settings apply to all order forms or just one?

Both Simplify Add to Cart Notices and Enable Add to Cart Notification are per-form settings. Each order form can have its own configuration — for example, showing an inline icon on one form while disabling the notification entirely on another.

Will disabling the notification affect WooCommerce’s default cart behaviour?

No. These settings only control the notification displayed within the Wholesale Order Form. WooCommerce’s native add-to-cart behaviour and any mini-cart or cart widget updates are unaffected.

I cannot see the Enable Add to Cart Notification toggle

The Enable Add to Cart Notification toggle only appears after Simplify Add to Cart Notices is enabled in the form’s Settings tab. Enable that first and save, then reopen the gear icon settings on the Add to Cart Button column, and the toggle will appear under the Options panel.
